Eyelet Machine Operator – (Thomaston, CT)
Second Shift, Train on Days 2-3 Weeks
Position Overview:
Operate and maintain eyelet machines to produce precision metal components according to specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate eyelet machines, including loading materials and adjusting settings for optimal performance.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications and make necessary adjustments.
- Inspect finished parts for quality, using measuring tools and visual inspection to ensure compliance with standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience operating eyelet or similar machinery preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Standing for extended periods and handling materials up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and machinery.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
